EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE ENCOURAGEMENT AWARD SCHOLARSHIPS


ASLAD Scholarship (Angelese Sophia Ladson & Da’Von Scott Jr.)
JAW Scholarship (Jerry A. Wright)
REB Scholarship (Roman Edwin Bradley)


The above-named scholarships are being offered to assist students who struggle academically, are crime survivors, victims of crime, dependents of homicide victims or young mothers who wish to pursue a post-secondary education or trade.

The application process is open from Oct 31, 2023 - May 21, 2024.
Each application will be carefully reviewed and the winners will be selected and notified no later than June 20, 2024.

ELIGIBILTY REQUIREMENTS:
Must complete and submit the RJT Foundation, Inc. scholarship application along with a 500-word essay.
Must be a graduating high school senior and accepted into an accredited college, university or certified trade school. (Proof of acceptance letter is required)
Must provide a current high school transcript.
Must provide a character letter of reference from any of the following sources: a school counselor, teacher, administrator, clergy or elected official.
Must provide S.A.T or A.C.T results and have a grade point average of 2.0 or above.
Must provide proof of successfully completing 20 or more volunteer hours with a non-profit organization, school, college, CBO (community- based organization) or through a community service project.
  College students can apply and must meet the following requirements: (Provide a current transcript displaying a G.P.A of 2.5 or above, a letter of recommendation from a college professor or current supervisor. Must complete and submit the RJT Foundation, Inc. scholarship application along with a 500-word essay)
Important Notice of Eligibility:

The Scholarship Awards Committee Team will base their decision on the overall grade point average, essay, financial need and the completeness of the overall application. These scholarships were specifically tailored to assist individuals who have been impacted by violence or are crime victims, crime survivors, dependents or siblings of homicide victims.
